This is the first time SGA will consider a resolution about divestment since students voted in support of divestment in a campuswide referendum last April.
Students stood outside the career fair held at The Hotel to protest against companies such as Lockheed Martin, Boeing and General Dynamics and hand out fliers.
The SGA will now send a public letter to the university asking that it formally recognize the union and post the letter on the student government’s social media and website.
